Explore the 1770 creek and its creatures - 9:30am/$60
On this nature-based 2.5hr kayak tour, we explore the stunning Round Hill Creek and the creatures that inhabit the area. Learn about the environment, history and our wildlife. Every day is a surprise, you never know what you might see!
This tour is all about exploring the area and the different wildlife and creatures you would normally walk past.
The tour begins at the 1770 foreshore where we meet and gear up. After a few tips on paddling techniques and safety we are off in our double kayaks.
The exact route of the tour will be determined by the conditions (tide and wind) on the day. We will always endeavour to take the best possible route.
Enjoy stunning views, tranquility and spot the local wildlife. Be surprised at what you might find.
Discover beaches and sandbars, go for a swim if you like.
What we might see on the day will depend on the season, the tide, the weather... and our luck. All our wildlife is exactly that - WILD. We never know what we will spot. It could be dolphins, stingrays, crabs, turtles, snails, fish, birds... We wrote a blog post about the strangest creatures we found over the years.
Children aged 10 or older are welcome on the tour if paddling with an adult.

WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT THIS TOUR
Janina and Simon love what they are doing. It shows in every aspect of their business. If you have the time do both the Sunset paddle and the Nature tour, worth every penny.

Frequently asked questions
Will I get wet?
Short answer: Yes.
Will I see dolphins?
We cannot guarantee dolphin sightings, as they are wild dolphins.
Do you cancel a tour if it rains?
That depends a little bit... A shower or two won't scare us, especially in summer when it's warm. But if it looks like we will get hammered by rain the entire time, we will cancel.
Is there a weight limit?
Yes. Paddlers must not weigh more than 120kg.
Do many people fall out of the kayak?
Not many, no. We use quality, stable kayaks but it's not impossible to tip them and fall out. Generally, the more weight is in the kayak, the easier they tip over. But it really doesn't happen very often.
Should I wear sunglasses on the tour?
We recommend you do, but be prepeared to lose them if you fall out. If your sunglasses are worth hundreds of dollars, maybe grab a cheap pair or make sure to use sunglass straps.
What should I wear?
Totally up to you! Most people wear swimwear and a t-shirt and shorts over the top.
Do you take children?
Yes, we certainly do. We have a tour especially for families with kids aged between 4 and 12 years old. 10 years and older are welcome on the nature tour if paddling with an adult and 12 years and older can join the sunset tour with an adult.
How hard are the tours?
Do you refund if the tour is cancelled?
You will get a 100% refund if we cancel the tour.
