 NATURE TOUR

Explore the 1770 creek and its creatures - 9:30am/$60
Available Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Every day during school holidays. Other dates are available upon request. Please contact us.

On this nature-based 2.5hr kayak tour, we explore the stunning Round Hill Creek and the creatures that inhabit the area. Learn about the environment, history and our wildlife. Every day is a surprise, you never know what you might see!

This tour is all about exploring the area and the different wildlife and creatures you would normally walk past.

  • The tour begins at the 1770 foreshore where we meet and gear up. After a few tips on paddling techniques and safety we are off in our double kayaks.

  • The exact route of the tour will be determined by the conditions (tide and wind) on the day. We will always endeavour to take the best possible route.

  • Enjoy stunning views, tranquility and spot the local wildlife. Be surprised at what you might find.

  • Discover beaches and sandbars, go for a swim if you like.

  • What we might see on the day will depend on the season, the tide, the weather... and our luck. All our wildlife is exactly that - WILD! We never know what we will spot. It could be dolphins, stingrays, crabs, turtles, snails, fish, birds... We wrote a blog post about the strangest creatures we found over the years.

  • Children aged 10 or older are welcome on the tour if paddling with an adult.

Available Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Every day during school holidays. Other dates are available upon request. Please contact us.

DEPARTURE TIME: 9:30am

GOOD TO KNOW

  • Maximum weight per person is 120kg

  • We use double kayaks. If you are travelling by yourself or in a group with an uneven number, we may pair you up with someone else or ask you to paddle a single kayak..

  • Assume EVERYTHING can get wet. Don't bring things that aren't going to survive a fall into saltwater!

Janina and Simon love what they are doing. It shows in every aspect of their business. If you have the time do both the Sunset paddle and the Creek Explorer, worth every penny.
